"Nature needs our help" (Lima, 2011) - This is the motto of the advertising campaign by the WWF in Peru. It bases on two main points:

  • First, pollution is everywhere in Latin America - along the roads, in forests - and no one seems to care about it.

  • Second, there is a huge number of beggars because of the poverty of those areas. But here everybody is trying to help, whether from pity or helpfulness.

So WWF combined these two tragic aspect and the output is absolutely incredible: the PLANTMEN!

As you can see in the pictures, they consists in plant beggars, who represent Mother Nature, asking for help.

"Today, the nature embodied in sculptures of plants has come along the streets to ask for help to passersby, distributing seeds and inviting to spread a culture of environmental responsibility in the city," said Kjeld Nielsen, Director of Communications and Marketing WWF .

This new marketing strategy positivel shocked the Peruvian population because of its creativity, but first of all because of immediacy.

And you? What do you think?
